According to the procedural regulations, a new product must be developed in six separate stages:

1. Designing the prototype and calculating the predicted production times/costs (simulation using special work schedules and product characteristics software).
2. Manufacturing the prototype.
3. Analysing the times and costs of production (with reference to the agreed deadlines).
4. Testing and analysing the prototype.
5. Approval and commencement of production.
